Anne Woodway 

Anne Woodway is a French jazz singer based in Paris. She sings a beautiful swing standard set-list (Cole Porter, Georges Gershwin, Duke Ellington, ), but also BeBop  (Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Gigi Gryce) and Bossa-Nova (Antonio Carlos Jobim)  in the tradition of acoustic jazz with a warm and elegant style and specific arrangements. 

With her communicative energy and her soul-tainted voice, she gives a fresh and innovative take on the Great American Songbook, and also French songs, jazzy versions of pop-songs and soul music. 

As a lifelong lover of vocal jazz, she has worked on her swing and harmony by ear, influenced by recordings of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday, Sarah Vaughan, Lambert Hendricks & Ross, Mel Torme, Veronica Swift... and also with talented contemporary artists through singing lessons and master classes... (Cecil L. Recchia, Laurent Marode, David Sauzay...) 

You can discover Anne in Parisian jazz clubs, such as the Sunet-Sunside Jazz Club, 38Riv,  Petit Journal Saint Michel...

In 2025, Anne falls head over heels for the cuisine and warm atmosphere of the brasserie "Aux deux Ecus," by Antoine Aufrère , located in the heart of Paris. She proposes to organize a vocal jazz jam session with drummer Gérard Dantec (After Duke Events) and her quartet. This leads to an event collaboration that results in regular performances on iconic dates such as December 31st,  Valentine's Day...

She performs in duos, trios, quartets and other combos, and has a network of high-level professional musicians who have accompanied her since the beginning.
